The Groves is a community which derived its name from the citrus orchards that once dominated its acreage in East Mesa.
McKellips Road and the upscale neighborhood of Spyglass Estates, as this map illustrates, border this subdivision to the north. Its southern boundary takes a stretch of University Drive as well as an extensive length of the Mesa Greenbelt City Park. Greenfield Road traverses the eastern perimeter of the Groves, and the Eastern Canal Trail borders its western periphery.

Pickup games of soccer and softball can be enjoyed at Cooley Park near this subdivision too. In addition, the Toro Stadium of Mountain View High School just west of the Groves is a popular for its annual charity event “Running with the Bulls” 5K and 10K footraces.
Schools: Besides this school, there are many other institutions for learning convenient to the Groves. Among these are Highland Elementary, Entz Elementary, Field Elementary, Hale Elementary and Poston Junior High. Private schools, like Montessori International School, are also within easy reach from this community.
