Respectively north and east of Ridgeview are Red Mountain Ranch and Las Sendas, both off the Loop 202 freeway. Camelot Estates and Camelot Country Club on McDowell Road lies on the southern boundary of Ridgeview, while the larger slice of East Mesa is opposite its western border. Ridgeview is comprised of single family homes most of which have their own private pools. It has a satellite neighborhood, Mesa Desert Heights, located on the northern side of McDowell Road.
Most of the homes in Ridgeview were built in 1980 to 1999, while some were constructed during the U.S. housing boom in the early 2000s. The typical home sales listing in this community feature three bedrooms within floor plans in the 2,000‒3,000 square foot range.
Resale properties in Ridgeview are relatively fewer compared with its neighboring residential developments. Homeowners in this community are inclined to keep their properties for the long term because of the superb location of their community and the superior construction of its residences.
Amenities: The numerous amenities around Ridgeview is another strong incentive to keep a house here as a permanent residence. Right west of this community is the 35-Acre Desert Trails Bike Park opposite the Mesa City Park Recker Road, one of the newest parks in the city.
A public course, the Longbow Golf Club is also just west of Ridgeview. Private golf clubs, like the Painted Mountain Golf Resort, are also near the Ridgeview community.
From Ridgeview, Power Road and the Red Mountain Freeway (Loop 202) provide convenient access to some of the major commercial hubs in Mesa and other parts of East Valley. These local hubs of life and leisure activities southward include Sun Valley Plaza, Mesa Pavilions, and Power Square Mall.
Schools: Road corridors around Ridgeview also facilitate fast and convenient transit to schools serving its Mesa area. Among these institutions of learning are Red Mountain Ranch and Las Sendas Elementary, Pathfinder Academy, Red Mountain High, and the Mesa Academy for Advanced Studies, Mendoza Elementary, and Shepherd Junior High.
