Northwestern Chandler is bounded by two beltways providing access to much of the Phoenix metro area: Loop 202 or Santan Freeway to the south and Price Road, which is a part of Freeway 101, to the east. To the west of NW Chandler, as this map also shows, is the Maricopa Freeway and Warner Road to the north.
There are many well-established residential communities in Chandler’s northwestern section from which to start home-hunting efforts. Some buying destinations include Wellington Estates, Kerby Estates, Glenview Estates, Villa Pallavicini, Cantabria Shores, Golden Keys East. Townes at South Meadows. Darcy Ranch, Arizona Country, and Chandler Crossing Estates.
Arizona Country is one choice popular among prospective buyers looking for larger NW Chandler homes. This is a gated community developed by Keystone Homes from 2002 to 2004.
The community consists of one- and two-story residences with living space of between 2,547 and 4,136 square feet built in home sites ranging from 10,030 to 20,613 square feet.
These residences are either three, four, or five bedrooms in design. Some have RV gates for trailer and boat storage.
A wide variety of home choices could also be found at Chandler Crossing Estates. This community is comprised of 348 single-family residences developed by Elliot Homes from 1994 to 1996. Their floor areas range from 1,200 to 3,000 square feet, with choices in either single story or two-story construction.
Amenities: This community exemplifies the various amenities provided in many of the larger neighborhoods of NW Chandler. Lush greenbelt areas buffer the property, and it has picnic and playground facilities including basketball courts and tennis courts.
Also easily accessible are the local amenities available to all NW Chandler communities. Like in most parts of the city, several parks are within this section of Chandler. Prominent among these are Nozomi Park, Desert Breeze Park, and Mountain View Park.
A wide array of shops and restaurants are likewise within easy reach of NW Chandler residents. The Chandler Fashion Center, The Shops at Casa Paloma and Chandler Pavilions are some of the commercial centers in the northwestern side of the city. Off Warner Road, there’s a Home Depot and just across it is the Tempe Sports Complex with a skate and bike park, baseball diamond, soccer and football fields, as well as a dog park.
Schools: NW Chandler’s proximity to Tempe also allows its residents access to this neighboring city’s school district, such as the Kyrene Elementary District. Within the NW Chandler boundary though, there are already plenty of school choices, such as Valley Christian School, Maxwell Preschool Academy, Valley Child Care & Learning, Kyrene de las Brisas Elementary, and Brightmont Academy.
