The city of Chandler is one of the prominent suburbs of the Phoenix, Arizona metro. The urban vibe and diversity of this city is well pronounced in its northeast section where the downtown is located.
NE Chandler as shown in this map is bounded west by Price Freeway (State Route 101) and south by the Santan Freeway (State Route 202). These roads connect to major Phoenix population centers and their life and leisure hubs, thus helping drive economic growth in this section of the city. Additionally, NE Chandler is neighbor to major residential communities including West Mesa to its north and Northern Gilbert to the East, as this map also indicates.
The neighborhoods in NE Chandler offer home choices which could meet varying lifestyle preferences and budgets. Around the city’s downtown, there are already plenty of neighborhoods to choose from. One good starting point for searches of spacious homes in this locality is the San Marcos Country Club Estates where typical sales listings are four- or five-bedroom houses with floor areas of between 3,700 and 5,200 square feet.
For smaller single family homes, prospective buyers can browse for available properties at Rialto Hills or Fairview Meadows where market activity typically include listings of two-bedroom residences with floor areas of about 1,600 square feet. Other potential hunting grounds for home buyers in NE Chandler include Las Casitas del Sur, Country Place at Chandler, and the condo community of Colonia Coronita.
In addition to these well-established communities, NE Chandler too is the site of “The Villas” at Fire Rock Ranch. This new development of KB Homes is set for 135 residences with one- and two-story designs, featuring floor areas ranging from 1,760 to 3,260 square feet.
Amenities: Favorable for these communities, the downtown of Chandler in the city’s northeast section has been revitalized and is home to a Center for the Arts and the award-winning Chandler City Hall. Other points of interest in NE Chandler include the Chandler Fashion Center, touted as the second largest mall in the Phoenix metro area. There’s a Walmart Supercenter off the northwest junction of Loop 202 and Delaware Street as an alternative for shopping.
One of the venues for outdoor activities is Pima Park with several baseball fields. Another local favorite is Folley Memorial Park with fields suited not only for baseball but also for soccer and football. It has playing courts for basketball, tennis and volleyball too.
Schools: Superb academic instruction is provided by NE Chandler schools. Those around the downtown area include the BASIS Chandler Primary North Campus and the Champion Chandler Charter School. Excellent choices is also the Chandler Traditional Academy – Liberty Campus School, Conley Elementary, Willis Junior High and Perry High School are also among those serving communities in NE Chandler.
